Voices for a Sustainable Future/Labor Network for Sustainability

Location: Remote/Flexible – Washington DC Area Preferred

Reports to: Executive Director

Labor Network for Sustainability (LNS)

LNS is dedicated to economic, social and environmental sustainability. LNS seeks to educate and engage workers and the labor movement about sustainability issues, to educate and engage the sustainability movement about the interests of labor, and to build bridges between working people and sustainability activists. We believe that in order for our society to address the linked crises of climate change and inequality, workers must be engaged and part of the shaping of that future. We aim to help workers become creators of and participants in addressing climate change and building a sustainable future.

Voices for a Sustainable Future (VSF)

LNS is a project of VSF. VSF is dedicated to bringing together non-traditional constituencies in the effort to achieve a sustainable future for the planet and the people on it.  VSF seeks to bring together science, art and economics in ways not done before.  We believe that no matter how brilliant our attempts to inform, it is our ability to inspire that makes the difference, and passion through art must play a significant role in the transformation of our economy and our culture so that sustainability becomes a part of the way we live.
